Hawaii Farm Bureau's Annual Convention

Aloha HFBF Members,  

It's convention time!  The Hawaii Farm Bureau Federation will be holding its 65th Annual Convention at the Ala Moana Hotel on October 30-November 1, 2012.

We hope that you will be able to attend this year's convention. The annual convention brings together members, leaders and key contributors to Hawaii's agricultural industry. HFBF is the largest general agricultural organization that addresses across the board issues that affect every farmer and rancher.  Our members span from forestry to aquaculture and vegetable to livestock but are united in a belief that agriculture is an integral part of Hawaii. 

The convention will be kicked off with a Kunia Farms Tour on October 30th, followed by HFBF business and guest speakers on October 31-November 1. Guest speakers include HDOA and State Office of Planning (Food Self-Sufficiency Strategy), Mace Thorton, AFBF Deputy PR Director (Your Ag Story in the New Media World), George Gomes, Past Administrator, California Farm Bureau (Discover the Fountain of Youth in Ag Policy), and Peter Adler, Hawaii Agricultural Mediation Program (Conflict - Who Me?). Also don't forget to sign up for the Fellowship Night on October 31st held at Alan Wongs Pineapple Room and get together with your fellow HFBF members for a night of good food and great company.

Registration

The convention registration fee for members is $50. Meals are a separate charge (listed on the registration form). Please note that starting September 1, 2012 we began our new fiscal year, so don't forget to renew your HFBF membership to get the HFBF member convention rates!

Exhibitors

If you would like to participate as an exhibitor in the tradeshow, please fill out the exhibitor registration form. Exhibitors will be provided with one 6 foot table in the tradeshow on October 31-November 1.

Hotel Reservations

Hotel room accommodations can be made directly with the Ala Moana Hotel. HFBF convention rates are $115 (single) or $135 (double) a room plus taxes.
