Production Risk Factor: Coffee Berry Borer Workshop for Kau Growers

Dr. Elsie Burbano, researcher at UH-CTAHR, will be back in Kau to present the results from recently completed CBB experiments in Kona. Highlights will be on the new product Kaolin powder (preventative treatment against CBB) and the efficacy of different trapping methods available in Hawaii against CBB.  Visiting Agribusiness student from Zamorano University, Honduras, Karla Casco, will present results of her 4-month internship in Kau. She will discuss the potential economic losses and the costs & benefits of Beauveria bassiana.” Updates on the next LIFE/RMH event will be presented by Andrea Kawabata, UH-CTAHR coffee and orchard crops extension agent.
